On this day in 1658–354 years ago on November 13–Michael Barthen was born to Petrus and Barbara (Brixius) Barthen in Liersberg, Rhineland, Prussia, Germany. Michael is my 7th great-grandfather.
Just after his 26th birthday, on November 21st of 1684, Michael married Helena Baum in the Roman Catholic Church in Liersberg. They had two children: my 6th great-grandfather, Joannes Richardi, and a daughter, Anna. Anna was born July 26, 1687 and her mother, Helena died a few short weeks later on August 10.
Michael remarried some years later to Katharina Kurrens. Their wedding was on April 19, 1695 and was followed by the birth of their children, Nicholas in 1697 and Petrus in 1699. Michael died at the fairly young age of 42 on December 22, 1700.
